Start of the day: 8:45

Break: 10:45—11:00

Lunch: 12:30—1:30

End of the day: 3:15

 

Make sure you get to school on time! You will miss out on valuable learning time!

 

 

Teacher Information

Miss Blackburn, Mr Richmond and Mrs Lanham are the teachers in Year 4. They are supported by Mrs Hossain, Mrs Henriques, Mrs Ahmed and Mrs Walker. If you need to speak to us at the end of the day we are always available!

 

Toilets

We use the junior toilets by the main doors. You will not need to ask to go to the toilet, but you must not let it stop you from learning!

 

PE

We do PE on a Wednesday so all children need their kits then. However, it would be useful for children to keep their kits in school at all times as depending on our curriculum our PE day may change from time to time.

 

Snacks

Children should have a water bottle in class every day which they can refill at school. You also need to send your child in with a healthy snack to eat at playtime, or your child can buy a healthy snack at lunchtime for 20p.

 

Teamship Assembly

On a Friday afternoon we have Teamship assembly where we award children who have made good progress, applied their learning or behaved according to Ulverley expectations and Teamship rules.

 

Homework

We assign homework every Friday. We alternate each week between Literacy and Maths homework. Sometimes this will be curriculum homework. Reading books will be changed on a Monday, but your child can change it more regularly if they want to. Spellings are practiced in school during reading workshop.

 

Learning environment

As you probably know the classrooms at Ulverley are a little different from the traditional classroom. We have looked at different learning styles and environments and tried to match the requirements of our new class to the environment.
