Start of the day: 8:45

Break: 10:15—10:30

Lunch: 12:00—1:00

End of the day: 3:05

 

Make sure you get to school on time! You will miss out on valuable learning time!

 

Teacher Information

Mr Bartlett, Miss McManus and their  wonderful teaching assistants Mrs Freeth, Mrs Timmins and Miss Burleigh would like to welcome you to Year 2. Mrs Freeth works in 2M from Monday to Thursday and Mrs Timmins is in 2B Wednesday and Thursdays. 

 

We will be available every day after school if you need to talk about anything.

 

 

Toilets

We use the infant toilets at the end of the infant corridor. We try to encourage children to go to the toilets during break and lunch time.

 

PE

As we plan to keep very active this year, please ensure children have their kit in school everyday. We’d advise that kits are then taken home at the weekends to be washed.

 

Teamship Assembly

On a Friday afternoon we have Teamship assembly where we award children who have made good progress, applied their learning or behaved according to Ulverley expectations and Teamship rules.

 

Homework

We give phonics homework  out each week on a Friday. This is due in for the following Monday. On a Friday, children will have either Maths or Literacy homework (we alternate each week).  Your child will bring one reading book home. Once they have read this they can return them any day to be issued another.

 

Learning environment

As you probably know the classrooms at Ulverley are a little different from the traditional classroom. We have looked at different learning styles and environments and tried to match the requirements of our new class to the environment.

 

Mathletics

Mathletics can be accessed on a PC, Laptop or iPad. If you have any problems accessing Mathletics at home there is a customer help line 0117 370 1990 weekdays between 8:30 – 5pm or email customerservice@3plearning.com.
