Tell everyone what they need to know when they need to know

My child is still not making progress despite intervention put in place by school. What happens next?

If your child has not made expected progress, the Inclusion Manager, in discussion with parents/carers and the child, will then make a referral to the appropriate external agency. This can only be done with parental consent.

The External Agency will carry out an initial assessment and provide feedback to both the school and parents. Targets and actions will be agreed at this point. Referrals may then be made to further agencies depending on what the area of need is.

These targets and actions will form the basis of a Communication Passport for your child.  Your child’s personalised provision will then be implemented and their progress monitored. Their Passport will be reviewed on a termly basis and discussed with you at Parents Consultations.
